Tara and Tim Essary founded the Sycamore Restaurant Group in 2016 with the opening of Cahawba House, a delicious southern food spot in the heart of Montgomery. Cahawba House quickly became a favorite breakfast and lunch spot for locals and visitors alike. In 2022, Tara Essary-Studdard opened The Statesman, a craft cocktail, mocktail, beer, and wine bar just steps away from Cahawba House. This year, we are thrilled to announce the opening of THE LOMAX, a historical event and gathering place. Come join us and experience the best of Montgomery's food and drink scene!
